Approach
Dorrey Sproatt is committed to helping individuals and families reach their goals and enrich their lives. Dorrey is passionate about finding creative and motivating ways to engage her clients. She takes a whole-family approach, providing support and coaching to all members of the family. She empowers parents and caregivers by equipping them with the tools necessary to support their child’s developmental needs. Dorrey focuses on teaching practical strategies and skills that can be integrated into daily routines and activities.
Dorrey uses strategies grounded in the science of Applied Behavior Analysis, with special emphasis on naturalistic developmental behavioral interventions. She focuses on designing short-term, evidence-based programs that are family and child-centered and utilize neurodiversity affirming practices. These programs are implemented in natural settings such as the home, school and community and integrated within play-based activities and daily routines to teach developmentally appropriate skills and achieve meaningful and personally significant behavior change. Each program is individually tailored to address the unique needs, interests, and strengths of the individual.
Dorrey understands the value of working as a multi-disciplinary team. She collaborates with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, clinical psychologists, behavioral therapists, school professionals, and teachers to encourage consistency and generalization of skills. Dorrey believes in working together to overcome challenges, while inspiring confidence, connection and happiness.
